In 2020, Zinia was founded by the visionary fashion enthusiast Anita D'Hooghe in Belgium. With an unwavering passion for fashion, functionality, and complete concepts, she embarked on a mission to create a line of handbags, boots, shoes, belts, scarves, and accessories that exude sophistication and seamlessly complement any look.

With sustainability at the core of her values, Anita sources the finest quality leather from a prestigious, high-end leather manufacturer in Italy. These true artisans have been crafting handbags since 1875, transforming exquisite pieces of leather into thoughtful designs.

To fulfill this vision, we partnered with Spanish shoe designer Ana Marttin and invested in a production line with a reputable shoe manufacturer in Elche. As with our handbags, our shoes are also handmade. Our stringent quality control ensures that every element, from material choice to production, harmoniously blends into the complete concept we are known for today.

Additionally, we hold a strong stance against animal cruelty, and that's why we exclusively use leather sourced from by-products of the food industry. This Italian family business, with decades of expertise in traditional leather processing for handbags, gives a second life to animal skins that would otherwise go to waste, creating high-quality leather without harming animals. Similarly, our shoes are crafted by skilled artisans in Spain, deeply rooted in the industry.
